The end of paris and LONDON!!!!

Hey everyone!
We're finally in London. Our new hostel is really good, situated right above a pub which is fun... breakfasts at the bar is interesting. We haven't really done a whole lot of sight-seeing as yet because we spent all of yesterday partying it up for Australia Day. It was quite crazy... waiting in line for nearly an hour (which included the token cricket game on the street.. in which sasch made an awesome catch.. reppin the Newi girls) and met the famous Roo Boy.... but inside was crazy. We met up with a couple of the boys from Austria and drank way 2 much VB for our liking (sasch still feels bloated :P).
Today we had a stroll through Hyde Park in which Sasch got attacked by squirrels... oh so very cute. We then to Oxford Street for the day which was ohhh so very good but oh so bad. Georgie drooled over the shoes whilst Sasch tried to steal a couple of handbags. Tonight were off to the Walkabout again with some guys from Austria to party on to the hottest 100.

Rewind a little bit... the end of paris was lovely. The tranfer to London was fine. We got lost amongst the streets, sung in the rain and drum roll please..... TRIED ESCARGOT! AHHHHH!!!!

The verdict:

We also had some crazy ice cream at St Louis (supposedly the best ice cream in the world... i agree with them) in which we tried salted butter caramel icecream.... yes you heard write... salted ice cream... georgie can now say she likes salt with EVERYTHING!!!

We went to the Musee D'Orsay... thanks Bob and Sally which was amazing. Sasch looked like she was going to cry the whole time... she was in heaven.

So I think your all caught up now... Wednesday were planninig on heading out to the theatre and seeing Wicked... so excited and heading to Bath on Friday.

Love you all!!!

Austria and Paris

Yay! We finally found cheap internet in Paris!!! Sorry it's taken us so long to blog again.
Austria-

Was AMAZING!!!! But we should probably tell about the craziness in GETTING there.

We missed our transfer. That's right. The blonde hair is not just for good looks:) We rocked up to the contiki basement, and were like- "We're here for our bus!" And they were like- "Umm... That was yesterday." BUGGER! So $500 later and a VERY comfortable nights sleep in the airport (we are now true backpackers!) we finally made it to Hopfgarten, only a day late. There we met our contiki hosts, Steve and Anthony... cooolest guys eva, except that for the rest of the week we were known as Doosh & Bag (let you figure out whos who)! They took us out and got us totally smashed. We're talking that we bought one drink each, but for some STRANGE reason, ended up with 7 each. There MAY have been pole dancing involved.

We also met two other amazing groups of people. So much fun, and SO generous (thanks SO much for the ice skating Paul and Andy! You're awsome!) They were all so different and so crazy (Yay for dancing the Eagle Rock with your pants down. We've learnt SO much :P)

The skiing in Hopfgarten was amazing. Over 280 km of slopes and we didnt go on the same run twice... except for the terrain park in hich we suffered many bruises.. but no breaks.

We both got sick (tummy bug. Yuck!) at different times, but still partied on! Including karaoke, dancing and what the locals like to call... THE BUCKET!!!

Our transfer from Austria to Paris was MUCH easier, and our appartment is gorgeous! Just a few blocks from the Eifle Tower (Life is SO hard). Paris has been beautiful. the weather has been... indecisive. Rain then sun then rain then wind, then just to keep us guessing, some more sun. Can't work it out. But We've done the Louvre, Notre Dame, Champs Elysees, Arc d Triomphe,Eifle Tower (and yes, Andy, we did walk up the whole thing, all 686 stairs of it! Woo Hoo, but ouch) and Sacre Coure. And shopping. I BOUGHT A COAT (meanign georgie bought a coat *squeaky voice*) Haven't got any photos yet, but promise to include in the next blog. We've been living in the patisseries and cafes, pretending to be oh so french (and hoping we don't get fat, just like the french :)

We've been having the most amazing time. Haven't killed each other yet, just give us time peoples!
Thankyou so much for all your posts. Keep us updated. We love you all so much!
Miss you.
Love Sascha & Georgie

Arrive in LONDON!!!

WE'RE HERE!!!!!!
And it's FRICKIN' FREEZING! But all toes and fingers are still attached and feeling is still present... Just...

Flight was super long, Georgie almost fidgeted a hole in the seat and Sascha was doing some interesting pilates stretches in the aisle every 5 minutes, but all good :) we were sitting next to some lovely Kiwis, who we're meeting up with for Australia day.
Nearly didn't get into the country due to lack of documents on hand. But once we finally managed to persuade them that we weren't expatriate wannabes, they deemed to allow us into their COLD COLD city.
Were in bed by 7.45pm. Jet lag is a bitch. And slept through till 7.30am!

Today we went on an awesome FREE walking tour of the city, which we would show you photos of, if Sascha hadn't forgotten her camera connector. But we met some fantastic girls, from Australia, America and Holland. We randomly went to lunch with them, and were all chatting and laughing away for about an hour until we all realised tha we didn't even know each others names! When we finally got kicked out, two bottles of wine down, we went with some of them to the national art gallery, in which Sascha drooled over Van Gogh, Turner, and Manet. Georgie decided Van Gogh was pretty cool (Yay for sunflowers and the chair!)

We then walked home, and here we are... Eating meditteranean... and absolutely dead. Jet lag strikes again.

Tomorrow we plan to hit some markets, and maybe the Brittish museum before catching our connection to the Austrian SNOW FIELDS. Yay!!

Until our next internet hot spot, WE LOVE YOU ALL!

Love Sascha & Georgie
